HUMBLE AREA ASSISTANCE MINISTRY - HAAM

How to Volunteer: Food drives throughout the year hosted by FMH. Individuals are welcome to donate clothing and household items directly to the HAAM Resale Store, located at 1204 1st St E, Humble, TX.

  

MATS for HOMELESS VETERANS

Time: One Saturday per month  |  Fellowship Hall

How to Volunteer: Donate plastic grocery bags, everyone is welcome to participate.

More information: Humble Methodist Women (HMW) have partnered with Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to make durable sleeping mats for the Texas homeless Veterans population. Mats are fabricated from used plastic shopping bags. The process involves several steps, thus allowing individuals with varied degrees of craftiness to help with this incredible effort.

Everyone is welcome to participate in this activity.

 

SATURDAYS KIDS

How to Volunteer: Sign up to purchase and deliver food to families selected by Lakeland Elementary. Receipts may be submitted for reimbursement. (Currently 5 families are being served)

More information: Families with children attending Lakeland Elementary school & with a need for supplemental food to sustain them through the weekend are identified by the schools office staff. Volunteers from our church will shop for and deliver groceries each Saturday to the family or families they are matched with. Receipts may be submitted for reimbursement of the groceries. Funding for this program is supported by proceeds from Santa’s Mini Mall.

Currently, 5 families from Lakeland Elementary are being served.

 

SANTA’S MINI MALL

How to Volunteer: Donate new or slightly used items throughout the year (until November 15th). NO CLOTHING will be accepted. Volunteer to help with setup and come shop!

More information: Funds raised through this unique ministry are used to support the Saturdays Kids program. Gift cards are purchased at Thanksgiving & Christmas for families supported by the SK families to make their holidays more enjoyable.

Donations of new or slightly used items are accepted throughout the year until November 15th.. NO CLOTHING will be accepted.

VENEZUELA MISSION
