Won't You Be My NeighborNovember 10, 2019
Kids today don't know who Mr. Rogers is. You would have to be at least 21 today to have watched his final episode. His messages and theme song seem so old fashioned in today's society, "It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, A beautiful day for a neighbor, Would you be mine? Could you be mine?" They seem especially foreign today when people are speaking more words of hate against each other in the news. It seems like Mr. Roger's neighborhood was for a different time. This week we begin a new sermon series that asks another question. Do we need Mr. Rogers now more than ever?
